About the Experience
This 2-day visual journey blends southern charm, architectural beauty, and coastal light into one immersive photography escape. From the haunting elegance of Bonaventure Cemetery to the golden oaks of Wormsloe, the vibrant streets of historic Savannah, and the sunrise magic of Tybee Island, this workshop invites you to explore texture, light, and storytelling through the lens.
Who Can Join
Open to all skill levels – from smartphone explorers to professional photographers. Whether you shoot with a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or mobile device, you will find creative inspiration, hands-on guidance, and new ways to see the world around you.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Saturday
• Departure from designated meeting point in Savannah
• Morning session at Bonaventure Cemetery (sculptures, moss, mood & symmetry)
• Explore Savannah’s historic squares (light, fountains, architectural storytelling)
• Lunch at a local café
• Afternoon at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist (stained glass, geometry, interiors)
• Golden Hour & Blue Hour along River Street (reflections, textures, water light)
• Evening → Georgia Queen Riverboat sunset & night photography session
• Overnight stay in a riverfront hotel
Day 2 – Sunday
• Sunrise shoot at Tybee Island Pier (light over the Atlantic)
• Explore Tybee Lighthouse & seaside breakfast nearby
• Visit Wormsloe Historic Site (oak avenue, perspective, leading lines)
• Lunch at a local restaurant
• Afternoon photo walk through Forsyth Park & nearby streets (storytelling & portfolio building)
• Return to meeting point in Savannah

- Portable power bank.
- Optional clip-on lenses.
Clothing & Essentials
- Comfortable walking shoes.
- Light jacket (mornings/evenings may be cool near the water).
- Sunscreen & insect repellent.
